Time for Action!

The Buffalo Park Foundation has reached an important stage in its development to realize the dream of opening the Buffalo Park Centre and Regional Archives. An appropriate facility, support networks, and services are necessary to achieve the vision of this heritage initiative. The Centrewill benefit the east-central region of Alberta now and in the future.

It is time to capture the heritage and history of Buffalo National Park before it is lost forever and to insure every citizen in our community can learn about, and from, our rich past. It is time to commit to being the benevolent caretakers of our past, the visionary leaders of our present, and the thoughtful historians of our community's future. By becoming a participant in the Campaign, you become a part of the process of preserving the past for future generations. It is a gift to every citizen.

Gifts to the Campaign are tax deductible. Donations can be in the form of cash, stocks, securities, life insurance policies, annuities, property or bequests.

Bob Barss, Reeve of Municipal District of Wainwright No. 61As the Reeve of the Municipal District of Wainwright, I fully support the Buffalo Park Foundation in their efforts to build an interpretive centre and regional archives in Wainwright.  The history of the Buffalo National Park and Wainwright and surrounding district is important to our future and deserves to be secured.

This facility will link east-central Alberta with other cultural and historic sites in the province. A regional archive will provide proper storage for valuable unsecured and unprotected records throughout our district. An interpretive centre that houses tourism initiatives and exhibition space would also be great asset to the MD of Wainwright.
